These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to each purchase of goods made from our website www.themewsfurnishings.com, by email firstname.lastname@example.org, or at our events. We may change or update these Terms from time to time and will publish any changes on this website.
These Terms are governed by English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
By accepting the Terms & Conditions, customers agree to read all our policies of sale on this page and also the Delivery, Returns and Order Confirmation information on this and other pages on this website.
Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document issued by us is subject to correction without any liability on our part.
We take all reasonable care to ensure that all product descriptions, images and prices that appear on our website are accurate. However, sometimes mistakes happen and in the event of any errors on our website, we will rectify the error as soon as reasonably possible and inform you of any error relating to any product you have ordered. The images shown online are for illustration purposes only. Many products are also shown with additional props but these are not included in the sale of a product unless otherwise specified.
The colours of products as they appear on your monitor and as they actually appear may be slightly different due to factors such as your monitor display settings and, for photographs, the lighting conditions at the time.
Product size and colour
A lot of our products and fabrics are handmade and hand dyed. Please note that variation in colour will happen from product to product and fabric roll to fabric roll, this is normal and adds to its beauty. Sizes of products can vary in size by up to 8cm and washing some products may incur shrinkage by up to 10%. By placing an order via this website, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of this.
When buying fabric from us please ensure that you purchase enough for your entire project; should you require additional fabric in the same pattern, we will endeavour to provide you with an exact match however we cannot guarantee that the next piece of fabric will be identical. This is particularly important regarding our fabric from Mallorca due its manufacturing process.
If you do buy fabric and are unhappy with it, i.e it is different to what you previously purchased or there is a mark/tear within the fabric, we can offer you a refund providing we receive the fabric back in the exact same condition that it was sent to you and without any cuts, tears, stitches or marks. You must inform us of any defects within 14 days of receiving the item and inform us that you would like to return it. It would be helpful if you provide photographs of any defects.
During busy times of the year our stock may sell out quickly or be limited in availability. Where a product is not in stock, please contact us and we will try our best to give you an estimated re-stocking date, if the information is available. We also provide you with the opportunity to register your email address on a product page to be notified as soon as the product is back in stock.
If there is an error in the availability information of any product(s) that you have ordered we will contact you as soon as is reasonably possible and you may either confirm the order to be delivered at a later date once stocks are available or cancel the order.
We reserve the right to withdraw any products from our Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on our Website.
All products must be paid for in full at the time of ordering. When we accept your online, telephone or email order we will send you an email confirming the details of your order. For orders placed at our events, a receipt will be given, until then there is no contract between you and us.
When you place an order, we will require your name, e-mail address and payment details. Without this information we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.
An email confirmation is only a confirmation that we have received your order and/or payment. It is not an acceptance of your order and we retain the right to contact you and issue a full refund in the event of complications with your order; including, but not limited to, incorrect pricing, stock availability and delivery charges.
A contact telephone number is also required so that we may reach you if there is a problem with your order, or if your order requires a delivery quote. We may, unless you advise us otherwise, pass this information to our couriers or other agents in case they need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order.
Once your order has been dispatched, the completion of the contract between The Mews and yourself takes place. We will not be obliged to complete your order if any of the following reasons apply: the product you ordered being unavailable from stock; our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment; the identification of a pricing or product description error; customers who fail to reach any order criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions.
If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by us by email or by telephone and we reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any time.
We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.
Payment for all orders is at point of sale and not at point of dispatch.
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
