This traditional Mallorcan Ikat fabric is hand-dyed and then made on an traditional wooden loom.

A word about this special fabric: the manufacturer of this fabric, Bujosa Artesania Textil, uses traditional techniques; they hand dye the linen and cotton used to make the fabric, which requires exceptional skill particularly for the ikat and flame stitch patterns, and then use an 100 year old loom, hence the fabric only being 70cm wide. As a result there are variations in the fabric, its colour and make-up; we and Bujosa cannot guarantee a “perfect” piece of fabric. We feel that the unique make up and artisanal nature of this fabric is what makes it extra special; it has a fabulous texture and is a joy to see and use.
